Frequently asked questions
Is this the real Soma server?
No — Legends is an independent, community-run reimplementation. The game data
(classes, skills, maps) is faithful to the original Soma client, but the
server, account system, and tooling are all our own.
Do I need a separate database?
No. The server uses the same MSSQL schema as the original. The download
includes only the client; the server is hosted by us.
Can I play solo?
Yes. The Soma client is single-player-friendly with bots; multi-player is
optional. Group content scales from 2 to 8 players.
Where is the source code?
The server emulator is open-source under the MIT license. The website and
tools are also open-source. See the GitHub link in the footer.
How do I report a bug?
Open an issue on the GitHub repository linked in the footer. Include your
username, the URL you were on, and the request_id shown in the developer
console (F12) — it correlates your request to a server log line.
